{"id":353,"date":"2016-09-26T14:07:11","date_gmt":"2016-09-26T12:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/solarev.org\/migrationinclusion\/?p=353"},"modified":"2017-02-27T22:28:35","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T21:28:35","slug":"non-formal-education-dissemination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/solarev.org\/migrationinclusion\/2016\/09\/26\/non-formal-education-dissemination\/","title":{"rendered":"Interim project David &#8211; Non Formal Education Dissemination"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<h2 class=\"entry-title\">Non Formal Education Dissemination<\/h2>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><strong>TOPIC &amp; CONTENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The idea of this project is to introduce non formal education methodologies in the daily work of Doctors of the World &#8211; Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>Our daily activity is described according to three groups identified from a human rights perspective:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Right holders, people as subjects of rights.<\/li>\n<li>Responsibilities holders, ngo&#8217;s and organizations as owner of responsibilities.<\/li>\n<li>Obligation holders as States, and other actors, as holders of the obligation to ensure full exercise of these rights.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This project its focus on\u00a0the dissemination of non formal education methodologies working with\u00a0right holders (peer educators) and responsibilities holders \u00a0(volunteers).<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s interesting to start a week training for peer educators with ice breakers and games to get to know each other. This kind of activities\u00a0will keep them motivated at the begining of the\u00a0training and to get to know their colleagues quickly. At the end of this training peer educators\u00a0will disseminate their knowledge and promote health-enhancing change among their peers.<\/p>\n<p>Not less important is to work with our volunteers their own bias and prejudices. Every year, Doctors of the World Madrid organize\u00a0a volunteer meeting. This year it will be introduced some non formal education methodologies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH &amp; METHOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This project will use non formal methods as a tool:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To get to know each other in a new training<\/li>\n<li>Overcome bias<br \/>\nPEDAGOGICAL GOALS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>To encourage cooperation between formal and non-formal education fields into the organization<\/li>\n<li>Raise their awareness on different topics with volunteers .<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>TARGET GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Peer educators training: Around 35 peer educators. Two different trainings, one for women and another one for men.<br \/>\nVolunteer meeting: Between 15 and 20 volunteers.<br \/>\n&#8211;Youngters in schools (still to define)&#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong>EVALUATION <\/strong><br \/>\nStill to define<\/p>\n<p><strong>TIMETABLE AND MILESTONES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From June to\u00a0Sept: Meetings to study\u00a0how to apply Non-formal education methodologies\u00a0in the organization.<br \/>\n26 Sept: Participation at the\u00a0starting session of a peer educators training.<br \/>\nBeggining Oct: Realization of\u00a0Volunteers meeting.
