Solar e.V. organized a seminar about intercultural issues from 7.-16.2.2014 in Berlin. All the participants in the training were from the partner organizations in Germany, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Turkey. One of the topics was to learn from other countries and cultures and as well plan future activities and projects with each other. The seminar included excursions to different organizations in Berlin which work in the field of intercultural issues and social development. Reader "Methods of antiracist education"

Zu dieser Fortbildung luden wir 2013 Jugend- und Erwachsenenbildner_innen aus Deutschland, Portugal, Österreich und der Türkei ein, um gemeinsam Methoden der antirassistischen Bildungsarbeit kennenzulernen, auszuprobieren, zu diskutieren und weiterzuentwickeln. Zehn Tage lang wurden so im interkulturellen Lernkontext Grundlagen gelegt, um in der alltäglichen Arbeit mit Jugendlichen und jungen Erwachsenen für Diskriminierung, Ausgrenzung und Rassismus zu sensibilisieren, darüber aufzuklären und zu intervenieren. Untermauert wurden die praktischen Phasen des Ausprobierens von Methoden durch kurze Impulsreferate, die anschließend mittels nicht-formaler Methoden in Kleingruppen oder im Plenum diskutiert wurden. Through globalization, the internet and affordable ways of traveling the world has become very accessible for a lot of people. Never before EU citizens travelled as much as today. On the other side of the coin there are many “involuntary travelers” in many places of the world. People who leave their homes searching for places that can offer them better chances.
